Position Overview:

The Customer Service Representative for Broker Accounts is responsible for managing inquiries from Broker Accounts customers through various communication channels. This role emphasizes the importance of addressing questions and concerns efficiently while ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor towards both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and professionalism across all interactions, whether in person, via phone, or through email.
  • Utilize appropriate methods and tools to provide accurate and reliable information.
  • Effectively handle a significant volume of daily email correspondence.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls as necessary.
  • Act as the primary contact for brokers collaborating with GFL Environmental.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with customer accounts through transparent and engaging communication.
  • Address customer complaints by offering suitable solutions promptly and ensuring follow-up for resolution.
  • Coordinate customer requests received from brokers using the designated billing system.
  • Assign service orders to the relevant operations team.
  • Adhere to established communication protocols, guidelines, and policies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a constructive attitude and enhance the GFL Environmental brand by promoting teamwork and positive communication practices.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies as directed by management.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience in a customer service call center environment.
  • Ability to devise solutions for general and specific customer inquiries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Accurate data entry and typing capabilities.
