Job Summary

Friends of Acadia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Administration to join our team. This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing financial management, information technology, risk management, office and facilities management, and construction project management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business, with at least five years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer. They will also have excellent people skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for long-term financial planning, preparing the annual operating budget, projecting near and long-term cash flow needs, and working with our external auditors to ensure a fair and accurate representation of our financial position. They will also have administrative oversight of $80 million in invested funds.

Other core functions include managing information technology, ensuring information technology practices and protections are in place to protect against cyber-crime, analyzing and approving all contracts, and serving as a member of the FOA staff management team.

The CFO will also provide support to program and development staff to ensure timely, accurate, and useful reporting to funders, foundations, and partners. They will be responsible for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and presenting this information to the committees and the board.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge and proficiency with Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, and the Microsoft Office Suite. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
