Client Support Specialist Overview
The Client Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Account Managers and Benefits Consultants in the administration of employee benefits accounts, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, fostering professional relationships with clients, and providing administrative support to the Benefits team as needed. Compliance with ethical standards established by the Colorado Department of Insurance and PIIAC is essential.
Core Responsibilities
The following are key duties associated with the Client Support Specialist role, with the possibility of additional responsibilities as required:
- Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and supplying eligibility information, among other tasks.
- Assist in resolving client issues of varying complexity under the supervision of Account Managers, including matters related to eligibility, claims, and billing.
- Manage ID card requests and coordinate address updates with carriers for employer groups as necessary.
- Support the processing of Applications and Terminations, ensuring accurate and timely handling of employee enrollments, changes, and terminations. Adhere to carrier procedures and maintain electronic records.
- Ensure the Brokerage Builder system is updated promptly with policy modifications.
- Contribute to the preparation of open enrollment materials during new group submissions or renewals, providing administrative assistance in printing, organizing, and assembling materials.
- Assist in the creation of rate confirmation and termination letters for clients under the guidance of Account Managers.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a Colorado Life, Accident, and Health License within 90 days of employment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Familiarity with Brokerage Builder is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service and teamwork capabilities to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and management.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills are essential.
The compensation is $21.25 per hour, contingent on experience and licensing.
