Overview
The Human Resources Specialist - Talent Acquisition plays a pivotal role in supporting the recruitment processes within the organization. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Development, and Engagement, this position encompasses a variety of recruitment functions aimed at attracting top talent aligned with the institution's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle for the organization, acting as a consultant to hiring managers.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies to identify and engage qualified candidates, ensuring timely recruitment and fostering long-term relationships.
- Develop and execute recruitment marketing strategies, including advertising and social media outreach, while representing the institution at various recruitment events.
- Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, maintaining proactive communication with hiring managers regarding the status of candidates.
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand job requirements and candidate profiles, effectively managing the recruitment pipeline in response to organizational needs.
- Ensure a fair and unbiased recruitment process, facilitating the delivery of job offers and communicating essential employment information to candidates.
- Gather feedback from candidates and hiring managers to enhance the recruitment experience and continuously improve processes.
- Stay informed about industry best practices in talent acquisition and contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing recruitment performance.
- Analyze recruitment performance metrics and provide insights to hiring managers regarding candidate selections based on objective evaluations.
- Assist in various HR responsibilities during peak periods and provide training to team members as needed.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies and legal regulations affecting human resources.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, particularly in recruitment or talent acquisition.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with HRIS applications and analytics.
- Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
- Experience in talent acquisition with a strong understanding of labor markets and effective recruiting practices.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with candidates and stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- This role primarily involves office work with occasional travel required.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds.
