We're seeking a talented Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team at Advance Local, one of the country's largest privately-owned media companies. As an Account Executive, you'll play a crucial role in driving advertising revenue and building strong relationships with our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect new business opportunities and develop existing accounts to drive revenue growth
- Meet with local business owners and decision-makers to understand their needs and goals, and advise them on our comprehensive product mix
- Collaborate with colleagues to design custom advertising and marketing solutions that meet client needs
- Present solutions to clients and work collaboratively to achieve their goals
- Foster strong client relationships through retention and upselling
- Review campaign results, learn from data, and celebrate successes
- Work with our advertising fulfillment team to provide accurate information for each client campaign
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven success in increasing sales in a competitive marketplace using a needs-based selling approach
- Experience in digital advertising is a plus
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to build rapport and confidence with clients
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, creating, and delivering effective presentations
- Self-motivation and resilience
- Ability to effectively organize your day, multitask, and work under deadlines
- Familiarity with CRM sales management software, ideally SalesForce
Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel, are essential for creating presentations and reviewing data.
