Position Overview:

As a key member of Bamboo Sushi's finance team, the Corporate Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions across our diverse business operations.

Your Responsibilities:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Corporate Accounting team to manage key functions, including:

Transaction Management:
Work with the team to accurately record all financial transactions, including banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, facilitating a smooth monthly closing process.

Internal Control Implementation:
Execute and enhance internal control processes, focusing on cash management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Assist in designing and reviewing new processes to support business growth and ensure proper documentation.

Monthly Reconciliation:
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers, including debt, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities, while also performing reconciliations for sales and fees from various sales channels.

ERP and Financial Systems Proficiency:
Develop expertise in Bamboo Sushi's ERP and financial systems, contributing to initiatives aimed at increasing automation and efficiency across the organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to foster effective collaboration.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to analyze data quantitatively and solve problems effectively.
  • Proactive Approach: A self-starter mentality with the ability to identify and address challenges independently.
  • Task Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Accounting Experience: A minimum of two years in an accounting role.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is advantageous, along with a background in full-cycle accounting and a proven track record of process improvement. Strong Excel skills and a degree in Accounting or Finance are also preferred.
