Job Overview

Your Role:

The Senior Salesforce Solutions Engineer within the Client Personalization team plays a crucial role in ensuring application service excellence and client satisfaction regarding Blue Shield of California's Salesforce Health Cloud functionalities. This position involves the creation, configuration, and management of Salesforce applications and associated components, with a strong focus on achieving the desired business outcomes for BSC. The role necessitates a deep understanding of the technical solutions that facilitate business processes and requires collaboration with IT and Business partners to establish comprehensive business requirements and application solutions.

Your Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will:
  • Implement and leverage software engineering principles and methodologies in application development.
  • Contribute to the design and technical documentation.
  • Develop user interfaces and application programs based on the provided technical specifications and design documents.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and maintenance of code in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to junior team members.
  • Assist in the creation, refinement, and maintenance of user stories and related deliverables such as process flows and test cases to fulfill development and stakeholder requirements.
  • Engage actively in agile ceremonies (e.g., daily standup, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations).
  • Enhance the reliability and utilization of systems and applications.
  • Monitor software configuration changes to proactively address data reliability and customer satisfaction challenges.
  • Coordinate ongoing support for application platforms and business processes.
  • Exhibit leadership in service development, adoption, and governance.
  • Proactively identify potential system issues to meet or exceed established timelines and deliver services within budget constraints while seeking cost-reduction opportunities related to applications.
Qualifications

Your Expertise:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions to support Blue Shield's strategic growth and financial objectives.
  • Act as a technical resource, establishing trusted relationships with business partners, internal IT teams, and vendor partners.
  • Effectively communicate approaches, value propositions, risks, alternatives, and progress updates to executive and senior management, business sponsors, and product managers.
  • Experience with relevant software development tools, industry standards, troubleshooting and support processes, and communication/documentation software.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise significant discretion in determining technical objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT and healthcare industry trends.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in design, coding, integration, and deployment of cloud-based applications, with strong expertise in Salesforce.
  • Possess technical acumen and familiarity with Agile methodologies, Service Architecture, and enterprise Cloud Integration.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within Salesforce utilizing Apex (classes and triggers), Process Builder, Flows, Visualforce pages, Aura, and Lightning Web Components, among other platform features.
  • Utilize Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming, etc.) for seamless integration with other organizational systems. Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, Salesforce Lightning/Newport Design System, SOQL, SOSL, and custom styling.
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce configuration and development, including Workflows, Process Builder, Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce pages, and Lightning Components.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Connect, and Contact Builder.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and analytics within SFMC to assess campaign performance and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with DevOps processes to efficiently design, develop, test, secure, deploy, maintain, and support the platform.
  • Preferred certifications include Salesforce Admin, Platform Marketing Cloud Admin, and Marketing Cloud Email Specialist.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and foster relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create, translate, and execute technical deliverables.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
