Bank of Hope is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lending Manager to join our team. As a key member of our lending department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and mentor junior lending staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Review and provide feedback on the work quality of junior lending staff to ensure they are meeting the required standards.
- Underwriting:
- Analyze complex financial data and credit information to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Prepare loan presentations that clearly outline the risks and benefits of each loan, including the strengths and weaknesses of the borrower's financial situation.
- Recommend or deny loan requests in accordance with banking regulations and Bank of Hope's loan policies and procedures.
- Risk and Portfolio Management:
- Monitor loan covenants and conditions to ensure compliance with loan agreements.
- Identify and report any potential problems or issues with loans to management.
- Analyze collateral values and insurance coverage to ensure adequate protection for the bank.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act.
- Review and comply with the End-User Computing Agreement and other relevant security policies.
- Other:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients to grow the bank's loan portfolio.
- Participate in community organizations and events to support the bank's CRA objectives.
- 7+ years of commercial lending experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and credit information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of bank regulations and lending operations.
Bank of Hope offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits. We are an equal employment opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
