  • Stay on top of fluctuating food prices and negotiate the best price and product.
  • Instruct cooks or other workers in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure consistent food preparation and service according to restaurant standards.
  • Schedule personnel as required for business activity while ensuring labor cost objectives are met.
  • Hold monthly meetings with the GM to discuss staffing issues and concerns.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Order or requisition food, equipment, or other supplies needed for efficient operation.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unit count and condition.

  • Exudes excellence in hospitality and customer service with positive interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organization skills with ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.
  • Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.
  • Must have the ability to read, speak, and understand English, and to follow written directions and verbal instructions in English.
  • Able to approach work with a sense of ownership and work with a sense of urgency.

Work Experience Requirements
  • 5+ years-experience in varied kitchen positions, including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter for similar caliber concept.
  • Minimum 1+ years-experience as a Kitchen Manager or Chef for similar caliber concept.
Education Requirements
  • Degree in Culinary or applicable field preferred.
