Job Summary

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Manager to lead the successful operation of Dining Services at University of Albany. This key leadership position is responsible for providing leadership and supervision for the on-site food service staff, ensuring that business practices are upheld and in line with Sodexo's company mission, values and commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day dining and culinary operations to ensure high-quality food service and exceptional customer experience.
  • Interface closely with residents, client executive level leadership, and client board members to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
  • Control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are maintained, adhering to Sodexo's safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of food service staff.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in food service management, with a strong background in culinary production, safety and sanitation compliance, and employee engagement leadership.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Working knowledge of Sodexo's Food Management System (FMS) and The Market Connection (TMC), with proficiency in computer skills and report management experience.
