Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the service area with necessary items such as under-liners, doilies, gravy boats, ramekins, serving utensils, and condiments to enhance the presentation of menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness of trays and ensure they are lined with fresh linen.
  • Accurately assemble food orders for delivery by thoroughly reviewing orders and matching them with the corresponding table requests.
  • Verify all orders for special requests and dietary restrictions, ensuring compliance with guest preferences.
  • Ensure garnishes are correctly placed on dishes, such as adding lemon to seafood plates.
  • Assist the expediter in ensuring all plates are clean before they are served.
  • Notify servers when their orders are ready for pickup or when tables are about to be served.
  • Communicate food orders to the kitchen when the expediter is unavailable.
  • Adhere to all directives from the chef regarding food service.
  • Support servers in delivering food to the appropriate stations and tables.
  • Serve meals to guests from the correct side, ensuring food is never left unattended.
  • Deliver food to the designated guest position without auctioning off dishes.
  • Inform servers and bartenders of any unavailable items as instructed by the chef.
  • Keep the service line stocked and organized before, during, and after meal service.
  • Report significant issues and assist in implementing corrective measures.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment with all team members.
  • Provide assistance to bus staff and service personnel when not engaged in food running duties.
