Your Contribution to Our Team:

As the Senior Principal Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in battery-operated tools, you will play a pivotal role in our Advanced Manufacturing team, significantly influencing the quality strategies for future assembly and manufacturing systems. Your focus will be on crafting control plans, establishing Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements, setting quality benchmarks, and devising risk mitigation strategies for cutting-edge, new technology systems. You will work closely with Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and broader cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth application of quality standards and processes in the production of consumer battery-operated tools.

Your Impactful Responsibilities Include:

  • Formulating system-level control plans and risk mitigation strategies for Advanced Manufacturing Systems.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of Design of Experiments (DOE) to establish comprehensive SPC strategies.
  • Coordinating the alignment of essential control plan elements and processes globally, including SPC and in-process control requirements to facilitate data connectivity strategies.
  • Supporting defect root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Being accountable for system-level Quality approval prior to production release.
  • Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations to product teams to minimize potential quality challenges during production initiation.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce defects in advanced systems.
  • Delivering training to project quality engineering teams for system implementation.
  • Offering project and production support for newly launched systems.
  • Conducting critical evaluations of existing process control plans and monitoring processes to drive continuous improvement on high-value process steps.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

The Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of proven experience in a related area.
  • A highly motivated self-starter.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Project management expertise with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or an MBA.
  • Quality Engineering experience with a focus on battery and motor manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with various welding methods and technologies.
  • Experience with ISO-9001, TS16949, or VDA 6.3 process auditing.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
