About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Milwaukee Tool. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing multiple low-moderate complex engineering projects with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to project team members, ensuring successful and timely project implementation.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and scheduling, ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing risk reduction plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other cross-functional teams to frame technical tradeoff discussions and drive design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, agendas, and meeting minutes, ensuring effective communication and project progress tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, including product support and value engineering development, and non-engineering department procedures related to project flow.
  • Travel internationally (10-15%) to support project needs and collaborate with global teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering experience, with a proven track record of managing low-moderate complexity projects and/or subsystems of larger projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through problem-solving and driving design decisions.
  • Electrical project experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing and assembly principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Project, and basic 3D CAD and tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to draft comprehensive test plans and specifications, and conduct detailed analyses.
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) skills are a plus.
