Job Title: Service Coordinator

Single Stop is seeking a Service Coordinator to join its Healthcare and Tax Preparation Access team. The successful candidate will provide in-person application assistance to clients at prioritized Single Stop sites, facilitating enrollment into public health insurance programs, SNAP, and free tax preparation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach and identify potential clients at sites
  • Screen, counsel, and follow up with clients through the application process
  • Ensure enrollment application completion or completion of another service
  • Provide education on NY social service programs and benefits
  • Monitor Single Stop's hotline and email address to answer inquiries and route clients to appropriate areas
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in social work or related field
  • 3 years experience in income tax preparation or healthcare advocacy
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Flexibility to work from different locations daily and carry equipment
  • Ability to adjust work schedule and hours on short notice
