Job Summary

This position oversees the scale team's performance and production to meet business needs. The successful candidate will support and adhere to the company's Standards of Conduct & Discipline.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Partner with supervisor and oversee department crew members.
  2. Delegate daily and weekly tasks.
  3. Track attendance and breaks.
  4. Monitor production rates.
  5. Coach and train crew members.
  6. Perform quality control checks to ensure product consistently meets company standards.
  7. Maintain accurate inventory counts and proper labeling with compliance barcodes.
  8. Store products in a compliant manner.
  9. Pull product to fill orders based on priority lists and strive to get trucks out on time.
  10. Evaluate sales manuals to build backstock for future orders.
  11. Regularly check emails, basecamps, and portals to stay informed about announcements, order changes, and updates.
  12. Evaluate sales menu templates and projections to build backstock for future orders.
  13. Attend lead meetings.
  14. Ensure all machinery and equipment are clean and in good working order.
  15. Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns.
  16. Send daily end-of-shift reports via basecamp.
  17. Work collaboratively with other leads to pass down instructions and guidance to the next shift.
  18. Communicate personnel notes and partner with supervisors to recommend performance/disciplinary action, schedule changes, and/or position changes.
  19. Support and adhere to company Standards of Conduct & Discipline.
  20. Assist with Research & Development projects as assigned.
  21. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and hold crew members accountable for their cleanliness.
  22. Assist other departments as necessary or assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years old or older.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or a General Education Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Processing/scale experience.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
Physical Abilities:
  • Regularly sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks with hands, pull/push, carry up to 10 pounds, and grasp.
  • Frequently walk, reach, and taste, or smell.
  • Occasionally climb, stoop/crouch, crawl, carry up to 25 pounds, talk, or hear.
  • Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness).

  • Adaptability: ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment; ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks; ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation.
  • Analytical Ability: ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time.

  • Interpersonal Skills: ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with others, excellent customer service skills, and a good overall understanding of appropriate human relations.

Workplace Environmental Conditions
  • Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Atmospheric Exposures: exposed to dusts, fumes, vapors, or mists that could affect the occupational health of the employee.
  • Toxic Chemicals: may be exposed to some toxic or caustic chemicals.
