The Supervisor of Central Service is a key role in the Sterile Processing Department, responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service and quality in the cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of medical equipment and instruments. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain effective inter-departmental relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop staff to ensure high-quality sterile processing work
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • Associates degree or two years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Completion of Central Processing Technician Course
  • Sterile Processing Technician and/or Sterile Processing Manager certification preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in Central Processing
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead capacity in healthcare
