Position: Taproom Operations Leader

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary leader during shifts, managing all aspects of taproom operations.
  • Offer insightful food and beverage recommendations to guests.
  • Oversee staff performance, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Keep the workspace, bar, and taproom clean and orderly.
  • Effectively juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Boost team morale and exemplify professional conduct.
  • Provide training and ongoing feedback to both new and existing staff.
  • Manage daily operations, including decision-making, staff assistance, customer engagement, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Perform opening and closing tasks, manage cash drawers, generate end-of-day reports, and communicate key insights with management.
  • Engage with customers to ensure high-quality service and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain high standards of beverage and food quality through cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and ownership.

General Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality or service management.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Proficient in the safe use of necessary tools and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with office software and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Basset certification, Cicerone certifications, food handling).
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with managerial responsibilities.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage plus tips (commensurate with experience).
  • Typical pay range: $38.70 per hour.
