Location: St. Catherine-St. Lucy School

The Executive Director at St. Catherine-St. Lucy School is tasked with overseeing the institution's operational and academic frameworks. In this dual leadership model, the Principal manages educational programs, while the Executive Director focuses on the school's business and administrative functions. The Principal directly supervises faculty, aftercare staff, and the Athletic Director, while the Executive Director collaborates with the Director of Operations and engages with various boards and committees.

St. Catherine-St. Lucy School, part of the Archdiocese of Chicago and a Big Shoulders Plus institution, is dedicated to serving low-income students and families primarily from underserved communities. The school prides itself on its commitment to educational excellence and support for its 100% African American student body, with a significant portion qualifying for financial assistance.

The leadership team is acutely aware of the challenges faced by its students, many of whom enter below grade level and have encountered significant adversity. Despite these challenges, the school has a proven track record of guiding students to successful transitions into high-performing secondary education.

As the school embarks on the next phase of its partnership with Big Shoulders Fund, it seeks a visionary leader to sustain its growth and work towards financial independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to refine and implement the school's strategic objectives.
  • Fundraising Initiatives: Lead fundraising efforts to secure essential resources, aiming to raise significant financial support through various channels.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships within the school community and with external partners to enhance support for the school's mission.
  • Enrollment Growth: Work alongside marketing and enrollment teams to optimize student recruitment efforts.
  • Communication Strategies: Develop and execute marketing plans to effectively communicate the school's mission and achievements to a broad audience.
  • Operational Management: Oversee budget preparation and ensure efficient management of school resources and facilities.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Proven track record as a collaborative leader with managerial experience and a strong ethical foundation.
