Position: Taproom Lead
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary leader during scheduled shifts, managing all aspects of taproom operations.
- Offer expert recommendations for food and beverage selections.
- Oversee staff performance, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
- Keep the workspace, bar, and taproom clean and well-organized.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Boost team morale and exemplify professional conduct.
- Train new and existing team members through constructive feedback and mentorship.
- Manage daily operations during shifts, including decision-making, staff assistance, customer engagement, product quality assurance, and cleanliness maintenance.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities, balance cash registers, generate end-of-day reports, and communicate essential information with management through daily logs.
- Engage with customers regularly to ensure outstanding service and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Guarantee high standards of beverage and food quality by maintaining cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and ownership.
General Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality or service industry management.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Proficient in the safe and effective use of necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with office applications and email.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Basset certification, Cicerone certifications, food handler certifications).
- Previous experience in a leadership role, particularly with managerial responsibilities.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage plus tips (based on experience).
- Typical pay range of $38.70 per hour.
