Position Overview:
As a Technician at Blue Origin, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and lifespan of spaceflight systems. You will be responsible for performing inspections using various ultrasonic methods, interpreting results, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and specification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections using immersion, contact, and phased array ultrasonic methods
- Establish and maintain techniques for hardware examination
- Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria
- Document and organize inspection results
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Provide guidance to other inspectors
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in immersion and/or phased array ultrasonic (UT) inspections
- Experience in performing ultrasonic (UT) thickness measurements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to support 1st Shift with occasional overtime
- Must meet US citizenship or residency requirements
Desired Skills:
- Experience in ultrasonic inspection of composites
- Knowledge of eddy current (ET) or radiography (RT)
- Background in aerospace or manufacturing environments
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation range for onsite positions in WA is $29.03-$40.65. Blue Origin offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, parental leave, disability, 401(k) with a company match, and more.
