We're seeking a skilled NDT Inspector II to join our team at Blue Origin, where we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our spaceflight systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections using Penetrant Test (PT) inspection method.
  • Ability to successfully pass the General and Specific exam within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to successfully pass the POD and Practical within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements.
  • Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order.
  • Perform all necessary daily, weekly, monthly process control checks.
  • Documentation and organization of inspection results.
  • Interface/communicate with Engineers and/or Managers to describe inspection results.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method.
  • Must be able to pass Liquid Penetrant General Test within a week of start date, and a Specific Test by week 3.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to support Monday to Thursday, 3 pm to 1:30 am shift with occasional overtime.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred qualifications include experience in low rate, high mix production environment, preferably in aerospace, and knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, additive manufacturing, forgings, castings, and composites fabrication.
