Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Finishing Supervisor, the Laundry Operations Specialist will:

  • Inspect linens for stains and damages, ensuring quality control.
  • Dry and fold linens, operating feeder spreaders and folding machines efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the laundry operation.
  • Monitor and document any textile damages, including chemical and manufacturing issues.
  • Understand and apply appropriate wash temperatures and formulas.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment to extend its lifespan.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize safety equipment as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive vendor relations.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and availability to meet operational demands.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to discuss job requirements with supervisors.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to multitask.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet operational needs.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational manuals.
  • Visual acuity to identify imperfections in linens and equipment.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Work Permit.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Hepatitis A & B vaccinations are required.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Ability to adapt to changing routines and manage stress effectively.
  • Coordination and dexterity to handle linens and operate machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills to relay important information clearly.

Work Environment

Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, and hazardous chemicals while performing their duties. The work environment may vary, including exposure to extreme temperatures and varying noise levels.
