Position: Production Support Specialist
Location: Airway Heights, WA
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension based on client requirements)
Work Schedule:
1st Shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday (4/10 schedule)
2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am, Monday - Thursday (4/10 schedule)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks such as scribing, trimming, sanding, polishing, drilling, punching, sizing, and deburring utilizing hand and power tools (e.g., die grinders, bandsaws, chop saws, shears, grinders, polishers, belt sanders) according to established guidelines.
  • Perform cleaning of metal components using various techniques, including hand-wiping, solvent washing, and chemical cleaning, which may require specific certifications.
  • Conduct inspections of parts to ensure compliance with specified dimensions using jigs, fixtures, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments; adhere to written instructions and maintain safety and quality standards throughout all operations.
  • Manage the procurement of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in accordance with established purchasing policies, optimizing cost, delivery, and terms while actively seeking improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in assembly, welding, and machine operation.
  • Ability to comprehend safety guidelines and mix ratios.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing planning operations and technical sketches.
  • Willingness to seek clarification when needed.
  • Proficient in applying relevant mathematics for shop support tasks.
  • Capability to learn the operation of machine tools and precision instruments.
  • Good manual dexterity is essential.
