Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall direction and coordination of all activities at MSR-FSR facilities to achieve optimal efficiency, economy, and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of business markets and company capabilities, as well as the ability to promote business expansion through client contact and new business integration.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Plan, develop, and implement the facility's operational structure and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Business Development: Manage sales, production, and administration for the facility, with a focus on growing revenue and market share.
  • Safety and Quality: Work closely with corporate EH&S Management to ensure the highest safety and quality standards are maintained, and that all staff are trained and equipped to meet these standards.
  • Staff Management: Supervise production managers and facility staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to succeed.
  • Financial Management: Be responsible for fiscal P&L and budget, working closely with the Finance department to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Work with local, state, and federal regulatory offices to ensure compliance with current and future policy, and submit required plans and permits as needed.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Suggest and implement recycling or reuse of company property and byproducts to reduce waste and improve environmental performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, and/or years' progressive leadership experience in Operations positions.
  • Skills and Abilities: Broad knowledge and experience in Operations Management, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members, and excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
