Job Summary:

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Operations Director to provide support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating locations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering annual business plans and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage On-Time Performance: Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Call Center Management: Oversee all call center functions to ensure seamless communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through direct contact and outreach programs.
  • Staff Management: Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with location staff and support team members to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Safety and Training: Assist in overseeing safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Management: Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Audits and Metrics: Conduct periodic departmental audits and review key operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Policies and Procedures: Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Employee Relations: Participate in location labor and employee relations activities to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Management Experience: Must have one to three years of management experience in a similar sized fixed route/paratransit environment.
  • Scheduling and Personnel Management: Experience in scheduling and personnel management, including training and development.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and support team members.
  • Contractual Obligations: Knowledge of contractual obligations to perform the job correctly.
  • Company Policy: Knowledge of company policy to ensure consistent measures are used to assess driver activity.
  • Trapeze Experience: Trapeze experience preferred.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Experience managing fast-paced environments.
  • Commercial Driver's License: Must maintain a valid Class B commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements. Training available to acquire.
