Key Responsibilities:
- Make strategic decisions regarding maintenance operations.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of equipment and production processes.
- Oversee and mentor mechanics, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled trades personnel.
- Provide expert technical and engineering guidance to enhance facility performance.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively.
- Employ CAD software to gather data and design custom modifications to equipment.
- Select and manage vendors for equipment procurement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Facilitate the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
- Develop innovative strategies to reduce operational costs.
- Supervise changes in equipment design.
- Monitor and manage energy consumption.
- Research and justify alteration requests.
- Negotiate and oversee contracted maintenance work.
- Authorize, delegate, and track maintenance work orders, ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Ensure the safety and security of the facility and its operations.
- Complete and verify administrative tasks.
- Communicate departmental projects and updates to plant management.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
- Demonstrated innovation, strong technical and mechanical acumen, and exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or possess authorization to work in the United States.
