Role Overview:

The selected candidate will be tasked with enhancing daily operational support. Responsibilities will include overseeing and rectifying data discrepancies in nightly ETL processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints under the supervision of the OMES-IS Legacy Application Development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor business processes to ensure alignment with the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Engage in server and business process oversight.
  • Identify and correct data inaccuracies, collaborating with business users for resolution.
  • Analyze organizational needs, consulting with users to define requirements and devise solutions.
  • Assist in the creation of documentation for new or improved systems and applications.
  • Participate in sessions focused on user access and security improvements.
  • Identify and address bugs found during testing phases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle APEX
  • Familiarity with COBOL
  • Knowledge of Easytrieve
  • Proficiency in WinBatch
