Primary Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Assembler Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and assembling diverse marine components and products using established methods, sequences, and tooling.

Tools and Equipment:

You will work with a range of tools and equipment, including:

  • Floor-operated cranes, grinders, sanders, banders, and saws
  • Assembly jigs, fixtures, and tooling
  • Powered hand tools, drill presses, pipe benders, and power forklifts
  • Measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches

Materials:

Your work will involve various materials, including:

  • Turbines, gears, and oil sumps
  • Heat transfer apparatus and turbine generators
  • Special products and component parts

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Assembler or Mechanic
