Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly and Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As an Assembly and Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling various marine components and products using established methods, sequences, and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble various marine components and products using established methods, sequences, and tooling.
  • Operate floor-operated cranes, grinders, sanders, banders, and saws, as well as assembly jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Use powered hand tools, expanders, drill presses, saws, pipe benders, power forklifts, chainfalls, jacks, hammers, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, drills, taps, reamers, torque wrenches, micrometers, feeler gauges, calipers, squares, levels, gauges, tapes, safety glasses, and gloves.
  • Work with turbines, gears, oil sumps, heat transfer apparatus, turbine generators, special products, rotors, diaphragms, blade rings, valves, main assemblies, component parts, and subassemblies, piping, flanges, reservoirs, pedestals, oil, steam, chemicals, solvents, water, rags, tape, and other materials.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance
  • 1-2 years of work experience as an Assembler or Mechanic
