Job OverviewThe Senior Director of Institutional Giving is a key leadership position in our Development Department, responsible for securing critical financial resources and fostering strategic relationships to advance our mission. This role involves overseeing grant proposals, managing donor relationships, and collaborating with senior leadership to meet our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals that align with agency goals and meet funder criteria.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, including foundations, individuals, and community stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for engaging and cultivating relationships with major donors to secure significant gifts.
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute donor recognition events.
- Maintain a master calendar of grants and prospects, ensuring all files and correspondence are up-to-date.
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on a development team in the Nonprofit sector.
- Proven success in securing significant funding through institutional giving.
- Experience in leading and managing development teams, including supervising staff, volunteers, and consultants.
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $130,000, a full-time salary-exempt position in Los Angeles, CA. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings plan, FSA, and others, paid vacation, and 10 paid holidays.
