Associate Director of Annual Giving

Museum Associates seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Annual Giving to lead the development and implementation of the museum's annual giving program. This is a key role in the Development department, responsible for generating unrestricted support for the museum through direct mail and digital fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual giving strategy to grow the supporter base, renew memberships, and upgrade gifts to reach a goal of $5 million in contributions.
- Manage the overall program strategy, including direct mail and digital fundraising, to increase the number of donors and prospects.
- Develop and manage a detailed schedule of direct marketing activities, including copywriting, design, production, mailing, and list selection and segmentation.
- Analyze performance of annual giving campaigns and appeals to refine the segmentation strategy.
- Track and manage expense budgets and monitor income reports for the Annual Giving Programs.
- Manage staff and provide oversight for LACMA Fund administration, Curator's Circle, and other groups as assigned.
- Edit and approve annual giving program-related correspondence.
- Oversee the timeline, communications, and process for renewals, invitations, and acknowledgement letters.
- Work with staff to establish a calendar of cultivation and stewardship activity for annual giving program patrons.
- Regularly participate in donor events, including evenings and weekends as needed, and some travel may be required to meet with donors and implement programmatic activity.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience with non-profit fundraising, including experience in annual funds, individual giving, patron groups, and membership.
- Experience using Tessitura is required.
- 2-3 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of Art History is preferred.
