Job Title: Managing Director, Institutional Sales

Virtus Investment Partners is seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our domestic team as a Managing Director, Institutional Sales. This role will play a vital part in expanding our institutional business, focusing on new client acquisition across all market channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Virtus' affiliates in selling our products and strategies directly to potential institutional clients.
  • Construct and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new institutional clients and raise assets within the domestic institutional market.
  • Be responsible for the entire sales process, from start to finish, including coordinating final meetings, account onboarding, and transition to the Client Service team.
  • Educate and deliver thought leadership to investors, highlighting the benefits of specific allocations of our affiliate products and strategies.
  • Work closely with affiliates' client portfolio managers and portfolio managers who serve as subject matter experts.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in business or finance, with 10+ years of sales experience in the institutional asset management industry, or an equivalent of education and experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 license.
  • Proven experience within the institutional sales channel across all market channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of various asset classes with a focus on equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful sales and client acquisitions/retentions required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, handle interruptions, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary range: $200,000 to $250,000.
  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive plan.
