Compensation Ranges
Operations Training Specialist: Expected salary range of $105,300 - $117,000 per year based on experience and level, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Senior Operations Training Specialist: Expected salary range of $130,500 - $145,000 per year based on experience and level, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Primary Purpose of Position
The individual in this role will demonstrate expertise in skills and extensive subject matter knowledge while executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of nuclear operations training programs specific to the plant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enhance station and personnel performance through effective training initiatives.
2. Coordinate and deliver performance-based operations training programs in accordance with established models and procedures.
3. Ensure training programs are up-to-date, integrating insights from significant operational experience reports and regulatory updates.
4. Develop and administer trainee assessments and evaluations across various training environments, providing guidance and support to trainees.
5. Collaborate with station and fleet on business initiatives, project management, and special projects.
6. Participate in audits and prepare responses to findings.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plant operations and training methodologies to ensure high-quality training delivery.
8. Oversee the collection and maintenance of training records and reports.
Qualifications
Operations Training Specialist - Job Code: XKAG - Grade: E02
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4+ years of relevant industry experience or technical background.
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience or technical background.
Senior Operations Training Specialist - Job Code: XKAK - Grade: E03
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current or previous senior reactor operator license or equivalent experience with 4+ years in the industry (must achieve SRO certification within 18 months).
- An SRO Certification with 4+ years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Operations Training Specialist - Job Code: XKAG - Grade: E02
- Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training.
- 6+ years of experience in nuclear power plant training.
Senior Operations Training Specialist - Job Code: XKAK - Grade: E03
- Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training.
- Current or previous senior reactor operator license or an SRO Certification with 6+ years of industry experience and teaching experience.
