Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Exhibit mastery of skills and extensive subject matter expertise in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of nuclear operations training programs specific to the plant.
  • Enhance station and personnel performance through effective training initiatives.
  • Coordinate and deliver performance-based operations training programs in accordance with established departmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure training programs remain current by integrating insights from significant operating experience reports, regulatory updates, and training effectiveness evaluations.
  • Prepare trainee assessments and conduct evaluations across various training environments, including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation.
  • Support business initiatives, project management, refueling outages, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of plant operations and training methodologies to develop and deliver high-quality training.
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of training records and reports to document training activities.

Qualifications

This position can be filled at either the Operations Training Instructor Level or the Senior Operations Training Instructor Level:

  • Operations Training Instructor: Requires an associate's degree in science, engineering, or education/training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Senior Operations Training Instructor: Requires a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or education/training, a previous or current senior reactor operator license, or an SRO certification with at least 6 years of related industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience.

This position is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence in training and operational performance within Constellation Energy.
