Front Desk Agent Job Description

This property is not open yet. We are currently conducting all interviews next door at the Fairfield SW located at 7737 W Jefferson Blvd.

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Tend to Guests: Greet and welcome guests in a positive and friendly manner, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Front Desk Presence: Maintain a constant presence at the front desk, being available to assist guests with any queries or concerns.
  • Check-ins and Check-outs: Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for our guests.
  • Shift-Specific Checklist: Complete required shift-specific checklist, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Billing and Payments: Handle billing, post charges, and collect payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Room Availability: Manage room availability, create reservations, and answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Local Knowledge: Possess general knowledge about the local area, being able to provide recommendations and directions to our guests.
  • Anticipate Guest Needs: Anticipate guest needs, recognize issues, and respond in a timely manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with guests and other staff members, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Security: Manage security of guest information, keys, and cash drawer, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
  • Brand Loyalty: Comply with IHG standards and promote brand loyalty, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for our guests.
  • Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness of front desk and lobby areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Multitasking: Multitask and prioritize work duties for maximum efficiency, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for our guests.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance through dress and demeanor, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for our guests.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer Service Experience: Preferred customer service experience.
  • Hotel Industry Experience: Preferred experience in the hotel industry.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 8 hours (accommodations can be made for all ADA qualified candidates).
  • Availability: Availability to include weekends.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
