Job Description

Job Summary:

Katecho is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of employees to complete assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead by Example: Demonstrate exceptional work quality, work ethic, dependability, and communication skills to set the tone for the team.
  2. Direct and Train Employees: Provide guidance and training to employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  3. Monitor and Assist: Regularly monitor employee performance and provide assistance as needed to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  4. Interface with Supervision: Communicate effectively with supervision and management to ensure assigned duties are completed accurately and on time.
  5. Work as an Effective Team Member: Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
  6. Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure the warehouse and production floor are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  7. Complete Documents and Records: Accurately complete all required documents and records in a timely manner.
  8. Identify and Address Non-Conforming Product: Identify and address any non-conforming product as necessary.
  9. Approve Timesheets and Close Out Work Orders: Approve timesheets for employees assigned to the area and close out work orders in a timely manner.
  10. Submit Maintenance Requests: Submit maintenance requests as needed to ensure the warehouse and production floor are well-maintained.
  11. Improve 5S: Continuously improve the organization and function of the department, with a focus on cleanliness and organization of the work cell.

Authority and Qualifications:

  1. Train Lower-Level Employees: Train lower-level employees in the Lead's respective area.
  2. Assign Employees to Jobs: Assign employees to jobs in the respective area.
  3. Interface with Other Departments: Interface with other departments as necessary.
  4. Work on Continuously Improving the Organization and Function of the Department: Continuously improve the organization and function of the department.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Leadership and Influence: Able to lead and influence others by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and communication.
  3. Reading and Understanding Engineering Drawings: Able to read and understand the product criteria on engineering drawings.
  4. Directing and Training Employees: Able to direct and train employees.
  5. Supervising Multiple Activities: Able to supervise multiple activities or jobs simultaneously in an accurate manner.
  6. Communication and Teamwork: Able to work and communicate well with others.
  7. English Language Skills: Able to read and write English.
  8. Work Attendance and Dependability: Good work attendance and dependability.
  9. Knowledge of Controls and Procedures: Knowledge of various controls and procedures such as error rates, shortages, and cycle counting. Adherence to D.O.T, HAZMAT, international, and domestic shipping regulations.
  10. Minimal Supervision: Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  11. Background Check and Position Assessment Test: Must be able to pass a background check and complete a position assessment test.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. This employee must occasionally lift and /or exert force from 25 up to 75 pounds. Push and/or pull up to 300 pounds.

Work Environment:

Majority of time spent working in the warehouse or on the production floor.
