Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee the effective operation of our Warehouse and Production functions at our facility. This is a full-time exempt position that requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active involvement and daily presence within the facility to handle production, bagging, warehouse, and delivery issues.
  • Establishing a production schedule for the locations colleagues to execute day-to-day, supporting safety, quality, and service requirements.
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance technicians to implement food safety, sanitation, and quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Ensuring Safety training programs are completed for all colleagues and monitoring the workplace for improvements, safety, and personnel concerns.
  • Responding to and resolving customer complaints, working closely with sales personnel.
  • Leading weekly Toolbox meetings and collaborating with Commercial, Formulations, Quality Assurance, and other divisional leadership to resolve scheduling, production, and formulation issues.
  • Participating in inventory reconciliations and monthly sanitation/quality/GMP audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to present material with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and influence people.
  • Computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts.
  • Concern for Quality and support of food safety plans.
  • Related Industry Knowledge.
