Job Overview

SUMMARY

The role involves overseeing department personnel to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and safely while fostering a collaborative team environment. This position requires the ability to guide and instruct team members while simultaneously managing various processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Exemplify leadership by setting a standard in attitude, quality of work, dependability, and effective communication.
  2. Direct team members and provide guidance to fulfill necessary assignments.
    1. Adhere to established procedures, guidelines, technical specifications, and training protocols.
    2. Conduct training sessions in line with departmental requirements.
    3. Observe team members during their tasks and provide assistance as needed. Allocate tasks as appropriate.
    4. Address inquiries from team members related to the Lead's designated area.
  3. Collaborate with management to ensure accurate completion of assigned responsibilities, which may involve coordination with other departments.
  4. Actively participate as a productive member of the team.
  5. 5. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning work area.
  6. Complete all necessary documentation and records.
  7. Identify and report any non-compliant products as required.
  8. Authorize timesheets for team members under their supervision.
  9. Demonstrate proficiency in preparing the production line for new operational runs.

  11. Submit maintenance requests as needed.
  12. Monitor production output on an hourly basis and make necessary adjustments to achieve objectives.
  13. Enhance 5S practices, particularly in terms of cleanliness and organization within the work cell.
  14. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

AUTHORITY

  1. Provide training to junior employees in the designated area.
  2. Assign tasks to employees within the respective area.
  3. Engage with other departments as required.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental organization and functionality by proposing procedural enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  2. Ability to lead and motivate others through example in attitude, work quality, dependability, and communication.
  3. Capability to interpret product specifications from technical drawings.
  4. Aptitude for directing and training team members.
  5. Ability to supervise multiple tasks or activities concurrently with accuracy.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Proficient in reading and writing English.
  8. Consistent attendance and reliability.
  9. Familiarity with various controls and procedures, including error rates, shortages, and inventory management. Compliance with D.O.T, HAZMAT, and shipping regulations is essential.
  10. Must work effectively with minimal supervision.
  11. Successful completion of a background check is required.
  12. Completion of a position assessment test is necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While executing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and operate a computer.
