Advanced Practice Provider

Gastroenterology Associates is a premier provider of specialized gastrointestinal services in the Glens Falls, NY region. Our practice is dedicated to delivering outstanding, patient-focused care through a team of committed professionals.
Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to enhance our team.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our gastroenterologists to deliver comprehensive care, including the diagnosis and management of various gastrointestinal disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Work with gastroenterologists to formulate and execute treatment strategies.
- Educate and counsel patients on managing gastrointestinal issues and preventive care.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies.
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to remain updated with best practices in gastroenterology.
- Assist with inpatient rounds and consultations as necessary.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid NP or PA license in New York.
- Certification from a recognized NP or PA accrediting organization (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
