Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to enhance our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our gastroenterologists to ensure comprehensive care for our patients, focusing on the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical assessments.
2. Diagnose and manage a diverse array of gastrointestinal conditions.
3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
4. Collaborate with gastroenterologists to formulate and execute treatment plans.
5. Provide patient education and counseling regarding the management of gastrointestinal conditions and preventive care.
6. Prescribe medications and therapies as deemed appropriate.
7. Document patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
8. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to remain updated with best practices in gastroenterology.
9. Assist with inpatient rounds and consultations as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. Valid NP or PA license in the state of New York.
2. Certification from a recognized NP or PA accrediting organization (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
3. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
