JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is actively seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Integrity Management team. This role will be based in one of our Texas offices and involves collaborating with group members to develop and execute project scopes while fulfilling a seller-doer role within a well-established team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation for delivering quality projects and ensuring client satisfaction. Proficiency in relevant codes and standards is essential, along with a solid understanding of related engineering and scientific disciplines for effective management and coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct consulting services, structural evaluations, and inspections, producing high-quality reports.
  • Engage with clients for business development, presentations, and consulting services.
  • Collaborate with design teams to establish work scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead the preparation of written proposals and pricing within the structures division.
  • Coordinate the creation of bid and construction documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Research vendors, literature, and regulatory requirements; prepare or direct design efforts.
  • Supervise and review the work of subcontractors and/or company personnel, serving as the lead technical reviewer.
  • Collaborate with specialists in other technical fields to support multidisciplinary projects.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to company safety standards, engineering processes, and quality protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, preferably in Civil or Structural; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in structural integrity engineering service delivery is required.
  • Strong knowledge of integrity management program development, structural reliability analysis for oil & gas infrastructure, fire and blast response analysis, and fitness for service.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas and mining sectors in the US, including the delivery of technical SIM services and a broad industry network.
  • Experience in consultative organizations and managing technical delivery teams is essential.
  • Highly intelligent with creative thinking and strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented and focused on achieving predefined objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood.
