Position Overview:
The Aircraft Structures Engineer serves as the principal authority on all aspects related to structures within the company's ATA chapters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Technical Services documentation to ensure timely aircraft maintenance actions are executed using approved data for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Oversee and coordinate documentation for all repairs, alterations, and necessary engineering support data for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Analyze and generate technical documents that outline the requirements for Airworthiness Directives (AD) and mandatory Service Bulletins for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Conduct technical analysis and develop all maintenance program components for the company fleet concerning the assigned ATA chapters.
- Lead significant out-of-service events by providing essential technical support to maintenance vendors and CommuteAir personnel, including on-site assistance for chronic issues or major events.
- Collaborate with the Director and Manager of Technical Services as the technical liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Engineering Groups, Maintenance Providers, Vendors, and other relevant external entities for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Assist in the creation and revision of maintenance task cards based on manufacturer updates, company policy changes, and submissions from maintenance personnel, presenting approved changes to the Maintenance Technical Publications Department.
- Implement improvements for fleet reliability concerning the assigned ATA chapters.
- Identify and monitor all recurring discrepancies within the CommuteAir fleet, recommending corrective actions and troubleshooting measures for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Partner with the Training Department to develop and deliver troubleshooting training aimed at reducing out-of-service times for the assigned ATA chapters.
- Report any unusual discrepancies to the Chief Inspector or designated representative.
- Support the maintenance of fleet Modification and Service Bulletin status.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and inspection teams.
- Approve parts for non-stocked inventory.
- Identify and report potential safety risks in maintenance operations.
- Review Aging Aircraft Reports and discrepancies driven by scheduled maintenance to submit recommendations for changes to the Maintenance Program.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an aviation-related or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant aviation or engineering experience with a suitable aptitude and attitude may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Current Airframe and Powerplant certificate along with required company authorizations.
- Valid state-issued driver's license and government-issued passport.

Required Knowledge:
- Proficient in Maintenance Manuals, Maintenance Programs/MRB, and Aircraft Systems, Airframes, and Powerplants.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with organizational capabilities.
- General business acumen.
- Minimum of 3 years holding an Airframe and Powerplant certificate and at least 3 years of maintenance experience on large aircraft (10 or more seats) with an air carrier, commercial operator, or military maintenance program.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and technical knowledge necessary for the role, with a positive attitude towards productivity, safety, and quality maintenance.
- Understanding of aviation safety standards and operational practices relevant to CommuteAir operations.
- Familiarity with all applicable maintenance and airworthiness requirements of 14 CFR.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and experienced with airline operations software.
