Desktop Support Specialist

Xpress Wellness Urgent Care is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to oversee all aspects of the company's desktop management suite and IT service management tool. This includes building and troubleshooting Windows images, creating and updating software deployment packages, deployment of OS and application patches, and monitoring endpoints for compliance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for thorough documentation, project planning and coordination, and IT Support training. Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with the current MSP support desk personnel to ensure user support needs are being met.
- Acting as an escalation point for end-user issues.
- Packaging, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows 11 images.
- Packaging, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting application deployment packages and scripts.
- Deploying and monitoring OS and application patches.
- Documenting solutions and procedures; organizing and updating existing knowledge articles.
- Maintaining the configuration of ITSM tools.
- Training company personnel in the use of ITSM tools.
- Desktop hardware inventory management.
- Desktop hardware ordering and tracking.
- Desktop imaging and deployment to end users.
- Serving as a technical resource for members of the IT Support teams and the MSP.
- Working with IT support to develop the best system functionality.
- Evaluating the security of endpoints and implementing necessary security measures.
- Supporting and implementing internal applications as needed.
- Supporting and implementing M365.
- Supporting and implementing network printing.
- Supporting all aspects of IT security as it relates to desktop management.
Requirements:
- Exceptional knowledge of Windows 10/11 – support, operation, security, packaging, and upgrades.
- Experience with imaging of Windows 10/11 using SCCM, MDT, WDS, or similar tools; familiarity with DISM, unattended answer files.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell, VBScript, Batch, or other languages.
- Experience packaging and deploying Windows applications.
- Experience with the deployment and monitoring of Windows updates.
- Experience supporting a wide range of desktop applications.
- Experience with BitLocker deployment and administration.
- Extensive experience supporting M365.
- Must have working experience in a geo-diverse environment; greater than 500 users.
- Night and weekend work will be required.
- On-call will be required.
- Travel will be required, 10 to 15%.
