Position Overview

WSP is actively seeking a Field Construction Manager to join our team, contributing to a dynamic organization that addresses client needs and overcomes challenges.

Your Responsibilities
  • Supervise On-Site Construction Operations
  • Conduct thorough inspections and document construction progress
  • Be available for night and weekend work as required
  • Interpret and analyze design documents and specifications
  • Perform quantity assessments and monitor Time and Material (T&M) tracking
  • Compile daily reports detailing completed work, crew size, and other relevant information
  • Evaluate and document construction activities in accordance with client policies
  • Engage with contractors to assist in preparing payment estimates and change orders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Ensure safety and traffic control measures are implemented in line with plans and regulations
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Railroad or significant highway/bridge construction
  • Experience managing large-scale highway and bridge projects exceeding $3M
  • Demonstrated ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adherence to WSP's Code of Conduct
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health and safety policies
  • Successful completion of WSP's Motor Vehicle screening is required
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ACI, OSHA 10 or 30, and Railroad Safety Training NICET Level II/III
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • This role is contingent upon client approval of candidates submitted by WSP.
