Job Opportunity


WSP is excited to announce an opening for a Field Construction Quality Inspector. Join our dynamic team and contribute to a company that prioritizes client satisfaction and innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor construction activities in the field.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintain detailed documentation of construction processes.
  • Be available for night and weekend work as required.
  • Interpret and analyze design specifications effectively.
  • Perform quantity assessments and track Time and Material (T&M) expenditures.
  • Compile daily reports outlining work completed, crew size, and other relevant details.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and procedures during inspections.
  • Engage with contractors to assist in preparing payment estimates and change orders.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel, for documentation and reporting.
  • Supervise safety measures and traffic control setups to align with project plans and MUTCD standards.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • NICET Level II / III in a related field, specifically in Railroad or RR Station Construction.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in Railroad Construction or related highway/bridge projects.
  • Experience with significant highway and bridge construction projects valued over $3M.

Demonstrate responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.

Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.

Successful completion of WSP's Motor Vehicle screening is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Amtrak or Railroad construction.
  • Certifications such as ACI, OSHA 10 or 30, and Railroad Safety Training.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction is preferred. This position is contingent upon client approval of candidates submitted by WSP.
