Project Experience:

The ideal candidate should have experience in retail, hotel/hospitality, or multi-family projects. This role requires flexibility to travel along the east coast, assisting with both short-term and long-term projects currently underway in various states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all project documentation, including specifications, plans, submittals, and contracts.
  • Implement and uphold the company's safety policies and site-specific safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety on-site.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal, written, or electronic means with all project team members.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities to organize and manage all project aspects, including personnel, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Oversee and document daily activities on the project site.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
  • Establish and maintain a worker orientation program for new employees on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's public safety program to protect non-construction personnel.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations and successfully manage OSHA site visits.
  • Maintain and communicate the project schedule effectively.
  • Enforce the company's quality control measures.
  • Coordinate all necessary field inspections and keep an inspection log.
  • Manage all company documentation requirements, including daily reports, photographs, manpower reports, and safety talks.
  • Participate in weekly coordination meetings, generate minutes, and distribute them accordingly.
  • Review monthly pay applications in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Verify that all necessary insurances and certifications are in place before project commencement.

  • Represent the company positively and professionally at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with all project stakeholders.
  • Support the company's growth and develop programs that benefit both the organization and the employee's career progression.
  • Communicate clearly with project teams, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors through professional and fair dealings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to and from project sites.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
  • Able to work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
  • Capable of accessing all areas of the job site, including elevated surfaces.
  • Physically able to perform tasks that may include kneeling, standing, or lifting up to 75 pounds.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in using personal computers and tablet devices.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
  • Familiarity with web-based document management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred four-year degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the commercial construction sector.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing on-site project teams to successful completions.
