Job Summary

The Stage Manager I position supports Studio & Remote productions activities. The Stage Manager will be the eyes and ears for the Director in the studio and on stage for remote productions, relaying specific direction to talent and the technical crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Studio Management
    • Oversee an assigned studio, ensuring that the Director has all necessary materials and equipment to direct the production.
    • Ensure that sets are in place and working, and that needed studio positions are staffed.
  • Talent Support
    • Ensure talent needs are met in terms of equipment, including iPads, proper chairs, pens/papers, mirrors.
    • Arrange the positioning of floor monitors based on talent locations.
  • Pre-Production and Coordination
    • Participate in pre-production activities.
    • Coordinate with and ensure the availability of assigned talent and guests.
  • Studio Floor Management
    • Assist the Director with studio floor management activities.
    • Control the live or live-to-tape aspects of productions.
  • Issue Reporting and Resolution
    • Identify and report issues with studios and production staff to the appropriate organizational unit.
    • Follow-up to ensure the resolution of identified studio operation issues.
  • Compliance and Prop Management
    • Ensure compliance of assigned tasks with established standard operating procedures.
    • Oversee the management and distribution of studio props.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Send out daily communication of Stage Manager coverage.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Highly motivated and able to work under pressure to meet ever-changing deadlines.
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
