The Young Parent's Education Center (YPEC) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on empowering young parents and their families to pursue educational opportunities and achieve self-sufficiency.

Position Overview:

The Chief Executive Officer is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organization's strategic vision and implementing policies and programs that align with our mission.

This position involves providing direction, overseeing daily operations, and advancing the mission and vision of the organization.

The CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and ensures compliance with all fiscal and legal obligations of a non-profit organization.

Leading YPEC as the CEO presents a remarkable opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of young parents and families within our community.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visionary leadership to promote the organization's mission.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans, policies, and initiatives to meet organizational objectives.
  • Ensure financial health through effective budgeting, grant writing, fundraising, and financial oversight.
  • Manage all aspects of organizational operations, including finance, fundraising, human resources, and program development.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations and all relevant administrative guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a committed team, fostering professional growth and a positive workplace culture.
  • Represent the organization in public engagements, advocacy initiatives, and community collaborations to enhance awareness and support for our mission.
  • Advocate for the needs of children and young families, promoting awareness and support for quality childcare.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or higher in any field is required, preferably in social work, child development, public health, or related disciplines.

Experience in early childhood settings is essential.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary.

Excellent interpersonal and collaborative abilities are required.

A proven history of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making in a dynamic environment is expected.

Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, and grant writing is important.

A commitment to the mission and values of the Young Parents Education Center is essential.

Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR and Pediatric First Aid or the ability to obtain certification is required.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and current on the ECP Practitioner Registry, meeting specific criteria.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, QuickBooks Pro, and social media platforms is necessary. Experience with various database software and website content management is preferred.

Willingness to complete any required coursework for childcare licensing and pass mandatory background checks is essential.


Compensation:

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) exempt position with a competitive salary range based on education and experience.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday.
