POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and support to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures. This role involves problem-solving, resource management, and addressing patient and family concerns effectively. The Supervisor organizes daily operations and ensures that nursing personnel are clear on their responsibilities and delegated tasks. Monitoring staff performance and offering constructive feedback is essential, as is collaborating with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to make administrative decisions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a recognized Nursing Program.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital environment, with recent experience in Intensive Care Units (ICU) preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and multiple IV pumps, with the ability to operate advanced medical devices, including A-lines, invasive lines, and ventilator support systems.
  • Experience in caring for patients across all age groups, from infants to the elderly.
  • Background in patient flow management, resource nursing, and nursing leadership roles.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Montana.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications are required or must be obtained within the first six months of employment.

  • In-depth knowledge of advanced nursing practices and procedures, particularly in post-operative care, medical patient management, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to customer service, functioning as a vital part of the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to initiate and manage special projects.
  • Capacity to manage a demanding workload efficiently.
