Job Overview:
We are looking for dedicated veterinary technicians to become part of our anesthesia team. Our technicians are passionate about anesthesia and pain management.

They collaborate closely with various services to administer anesthesia to patients undergoing procedures and play a vital role in educating veterinary students and fellow technicians in the specialized nursing skills related to anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia to small animal patients during procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care under the supervision of anesthesiologists.
  • Analyze and interpret diverse information to adopt an evidence-based approach to patient care, continuously monitoring patients to identify changes and proactively intervene to avert complications.
  • Work in conjunction with specialty services to guarantee safe and efficient handling of cases.
  • Mentor future veterinarians and technicians in veterinary care, particularly in anesthesia, through personalized training with our diverse student and staff population.
  • Participate in on-call duties.
Qualifications:
  • Credentialed veterinary technician is preferred.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in anesthesia is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Our technicians typically work Monday to Friday from 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM to participate in rounds with veterinary students. After training, the schedule shifts to Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.

We are committed to training new veterinary technician graduates or credentialed technicians eager to advance in their careers. Our team includes several anesthesia technicians, including those who have achieved their VTS, ready to provide support.

Salary Range:
Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technician: $20-$28/hour, based on experience.
Credentialed Veterinary Technician: $22-$30/hour, based on experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Veterinary Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent with one year of relevant experience.
Veterinary Technician II: Credentialed veterinary technician.
Preferred Qualifications:
Credentialed Veterinary Technician with experience in providing anesthesia to patients.
